PT Satwa Medika Utama (Sadita Indonesia) actively participated in CARE 2025 Competitive Grant Coordination Meeting organized by Indonesian Center for Agricultural Development and Modernization of Livestock and Animal Health (BRMP PKH) in Lampung, on October 29, 2025. This activity carries the theme"Utilization of Digital Technology and Bioadditive Feed to Support Sustainable Goat Farming"and attended by various stakeholders from government, academics, industry, and regional livestock actors.
As part of cross-sector collaboration, PT Satwa Medika Utama plays an important role in encouraging innovation in the application of probiotic and zinc bioadditive technology (Biomix products)in the goat farming system. This product has been proven to have a positive impact on the poultry and aquatic sectors, and is now being introduced to small ruminants, especially Saburai goats which are a superior commodity in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung.
In this activity, President Director of PT Satwa Medika Utama presented as resource persons from the industrial sector and delivered strategic insights on the importance of synergy between feed technology, animal health, and data digitization systems in creating efficient and sustainable livestock farming models. The application of probiotic-zinc bioadditives is considered capable of increasing feed efficiency, improving livestock growth performance, and strengthening animal immunity, which ultimately supports increased productivity and welfare of livestock farmers.
Apart from playing a role in providing and developing bioadditive technology, PT Satwa Medika Utama is also a ICARE program implementing partners with BRMP PKH and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University. This collaboration is aimed at ensuring that the technology implemented is truly effective. ready to apply, easy to adapt by farmers, and provide real benefits in the field. One of the main focuses is to test the optimal levels of probiotics and zinc for beef goats, as their use in small ruminants is still in the development stage.
The coordination meeting also highlighted various livestock issues in Tanggamus Regency, such as limited availability of superior seeds, a shortage of animal health workers, and the suboptimal use of local feed. Through a scientific approach and industry support, the ICARE program seeks to address these challenges by introducing digital recording technology, eartag systems, silage feed management, and integration of livestock with plantations.
As a concrete follow-up, PT Satwa Medika Utama together with the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University will carry out follow-up activities in the second week of November 2025 This agenda includes technical training on bioadditive application in the field, livestock performance testing using probiotic-zinc feed, and farmer mentoring through a digital system for livestock production and health data.
